The Metal Profile Roll Forming Machine is a highly efficient and automated production equipment that continuously processes metal coils or strips into profiles of specific cross-sectional shapes at room temperature through a multi-pass progressive bending process. It is one of the core equipment in the modern metal processing industry and is widely used in the fields of construction, automobiles, home appliances, transportation, furniture, etc.
Core principle: cold roll forming (Roll Forming) Normal temperature processing: No need to heat the material, directly plastically deform the metal through mechanical force at room temperature.
Progressive forming: The metal strip passes through a series of precision-designed paired rollers (Rolls) to form a forming stand (Stands).
Deformation by gradually roll forming: The rollers of each stand apply pressure in a specific direction to the material to perform a small bend (usually the deformation per pass does not exceed the elastic limit of the material). As the strip moves forward, it undergoes multiple passes (usually 10 to 30 passes, and more than 40 passes for complex cross-sections) of continuous and progressive bending, and finally accumulates into the complex cross-sectional shape required by the design.
Continuous production: The raw materials are continuously supplied in the form of coils, and the finished profiles can be infinitely long (or cut at a set length).
Main Advantages:
1). Wide material adaptability: Can process a variety of metals: steel (galvanized sheet, color-coated sheet, stainless steel, aluminum-zinc-magnesium sheet); aluminum and aluminum alloys; copper and copper alloys; titanium alloys (special design required)
2). Improve material properties: Cold working hardening effect can slightly increase product strength and surface hardness.
3). Good surface quality: No oxide scale produced by hot working, high roller finish can ensure smooth product surface.
4). High degree of automation: Reduce manual intervention, labor intensity and human errors.
5). Flexible production: By replacing the roller die set (commonly known as "roller change"), the same machine can produce profiles of different cross-sections.
Technical advantages:
1). High efficiency: Continuous production, the speed can reach 5 to 150 meters/minute (depending on the material, thickness, and cross-sectional complexity), which is much higher than stamping or single-piece bending.
2). High precision and consistency: The roller mold ensures that the cross-sectional size and shape of the product are highly consistent, with strict tolerance control (±0.1mm~±0.5mm is common) and good assembly.
3). High material utilization rate: Almost no waste production (only the head and tail have losses), significantly reducing costs.
4). Can produce complex sections: Can form complex, asymmetric, closed or variable section profiles that are difficult to achieve with a single stamping or bending (such as C-shaped steel, Z-shaped purlins, shutter guides, cable trays, elevator guides, shelf columns, door and window profiles, etc.).

2). Auto parts: door guide rails, window frame guide grooves, seat slide rails, bumper reinforcement beams, battery pack shell components.
3). Home appliances and furniture: refrigerator/washing machine frames, air conditioning ducts, shelf column beams, display racks, office furniture profiles.
4). Transportation: subway/high-speed rail interior parts, luggage racks, container corrugated plates, trailer frames.
5). Electrical and mechanical: cable trays, bus duct housings, motor housings, ventilation ducts, solar bracket rails.
6). Others: shutters, guardrail columns, elevator guide rails, freight elevator profiles, metal door and window profiles.
