The roll forming machine's mainframe consists of a frame, an unwinding device, and a guide device. The quality of the frame's installation ensures that the steel coils do not deviate during the roll forming process, ensuring high-quality roll forming. So, how can the mainframe of the forming equipment be assembled with high quality?
The roll forming machine's mainframe is generally shipped as a single unit. The installation sequence is as follows:
- Using the load pins and locating pins on the two columns as a reference, connect the upper and lower crossbeams to the left and right columns with high-strength bolts. Note that the load pins and pin holes are matched, and the matching markings must be clearly identified during installation.
- Install the four guide rails into the inner cavity of the frame. The four guide rails come in two sizes and different widths. The two wider rails should be installed on the drive side, that is, on the side closest to the main motor.
- Lift the mainframe to the designated installation location. Be sure to use only the lifting holes on the lower crossbeam to avoid stressing the frame's connecting bolts.
- Correct the horizontal position and elevation of the main frame according to the process design drawings. Pay special attention to the relative position of the main frame and the two main motors.
- Use a spirit level to level the main frame, ensuring that the flatness tolerance does not exceed 2 mm/m.
- After the frame is securely installed, tighten the high-strength bolt assembly with a torque wrench to 750 Nm.
- After tightening the frame connecting bolts and confirming that there are no gaps between the column and the crossbeam, tighten the anchor bolts. This completes the main frame of the cold bending machine.
