During operation, the CZ Purlin Roll Forming Machine requires careful care and maintenance to ensure safe and stable operation, without disrupting normal production, and to maximize the equipment's service life.
As the equipment manufacturer, we provide some general care and maintenance methods for your reference.
- Roller Maintenance and Care. Rollers require anti-rust oil approximately every ten days. If the equipment is not in use for an extended period, they should also be brushed with anti-rust oil.
- Cutter Maintenance and Care. The cutter die, where friction occurs, should be lubricated every half an hour during production to prevent accelerated wear. Furthermore, if burrs are found to be excessive and unsatisfactory, this indicates the blade is not sharp enough and should be addressed promptly. Otherwise, severe burrs may damage the blade or die. For more information, see: “What are the methods for treating burrs on roll-formed products?”
- Punching Die Maintenance and Care. The maintenance principles for punching dies are similar to those for cutting dies. If the die is not sharp enough, it needs to be flat-ground to sharpen it.
- Transmission Mechanism Maintenance and Care. For roll forming machines, transmission mechanisms experience significant friction. Here, the transmission mechanism refers to components such as chains, gears, and reducers. These components wear rapidly when subjected to high-intensity, long-term operation. Therefore, special attention should be paid to lubrication of these components. While the equipment is operating, the links and gears should be lubricated approximately every half an hour. The reducer should have its oil level checked approximately every ten days. The amount added each time should be adjusted based on actual conditions, and the oil level should be maintained at two-thirds full.
- Circuit Maintenance and Care. Circuit problems can be troublesome for unprofessional users, so special care should be taken to protect the circuits from dust, moisture, and oil. Electrical wiring should be carefully protected from damage.
The above mentioned care and maintenance methods must be strictly followed by the operators of CZ purlin cold roll forming machines. Only by taking the above mentioned measures can we prevent problems before they occur and avoid waiting until serious problems occur before dealing with them in a hurry.
